Saturday was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding. In the month of April. That doesn’t happen very often in Minnesota, in my experience. The wedding and reception were at Oak Marsh Golf Course in Oakdale, MN. It was a blast – not only because the weather was ideal, but because Ale and Laura genuinely enjoyed the day. Photography is so much easier when shooting happy subjects! Thanks Ale and Laura, for allowing us to share your day.
Photography and children go together pretty well. So when I became a father, one of the responsibilities on my list is to provide good photos for the family photo albums. I haven’t always done a great job of keeping up – but thought I’d share a few fun ones we’ve taken lately.

I’ve done a poor job on my blog of keeping up with my wedding photography this summer. Too much house painting! So this post is a montage of (I think) five weddings.
As primarily a second shooter, my job is to capture details. Candids, flowers, guests, laughter, and lots more. They add personalty to albums and give a distinct flavor to what might otherwise be your run-in-the-mill wedding photos.

I had the privledge of shooting Chris and Ashley’s wedding last weekend at Victory International Fellowship. Ashley’s father performed the ceremony and it was exceptional. Congrats you guys!
So your giving your website a makeover. Stock photos? Nah. I had the opportunity to shoot some headshots and work culture images for a fun new company call Mediaspace Solutions. Tons of personality + a pub room…can’t beat that!

Social media isn’t just for recreation. Its serious business. And having an appropriate profile image is key to making a good virtual first impression. So not a business portrait exactly, but something other than a late-night cell phone shot from a bar. These erred on the side of traditional portaits, but I like them anyway. Check ‘em out!
It was almost nice enough to go outside for this session today! But we stayed indoors and these guys were great – as in not too many tears (i.e. last photo). But we got the smiles we needed and maybe even some snacks to boot!
I shot a Friday wedding with my favorite lead photographer, Eric Koch. Fun people, great Famous Dave’s catered hot and fresh, and it was on a Friday…so that leaves Saturday free! Can’t beat that. Also, every single groomsman had an iphone. Very cool. Check out the pics!
